Managing Director

I bring a different perspective and experience to the Focus team. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, running and socializing with friends at the pub! 

I decided to create Focus as I wanted to create the best in class IT support provider in the UK. Before, FTS I had over 20 years of experience in other MSP businesses, and I was also a member and facilitator at ConnectWise Evolve.

Prior to that,I started my working carriwer by completing an apprenticeship in a bakery where I worked my way up to be a part of the management team.

What I enjoy the most about Focus is the people within the team and the opportunity to learn about our client businesses.

I hold a black belt in the art of karate and believe this is what has given me the struuctre I work to everyday.

Operations Manager

I bring experience, leadership, and a wealth of knowledge from my years of working in the MSP industry. I have learned valuable lessons and what works within an MSP, as well as what doesn’t.

In my spare time, I enjoy trying out new restaurants as I am a foodie.

I chose Focus because I wanted to be part of a company where we could build something remarkable from the ground up and where people are prioritized. Before joining Focus, I had 13 years of experience in the MSP world, starting as a Tier 1 engineer and eventually becoming a Service Delivery Manager. I am able to adapt quickly to different situations, which is especially valuable in a fast-paced environment.

The aspect I enjoy the most about our team is the team it’s self and our company culture. People are truly the heart of the company, and whether it’s our colleagues or clients, they always come first.

I have exceptional organisational skills, I am very quick to think on my feet and I have a very strong personality which allows me to get on with everyone extremely well.

I am a very social individual and enjoy spending time with my family & friends. I love going out and relaxing with my friends to various locations. I also enjoy going on holiday, exploring different cultures and all the different dishes from around the world.

I have been in the Finance industry for many years and I have learned a few tricks of the trade over these many years. I am proud to be a part of such a family orientated team and how we always treat everyone with respect and we cherish each and everyone of our customers.

I have many facts about myself such as; I have been on TV before, I have 8 dogs, I can do the splits and I cant eat jelly.

In my spare time, I am actively engaged in physical activities such as running, going to the gym, cycling and walking, which helps me maintain a healthy work-life balance.

I have been working in the IT industry since the early 2000s and have played a key role in establishing and developing 9 Pandora Jewellery franchises. I am grateful for Darren’s influence in my career progression.

I use to play in a band and we played at Battle of the Bands in Liverpool. I have many nicknames including; Wardy, Clint and Captain Awesome.

I have over 40 years of experience in Sales/Account management.

In my free time, I enjoy horse riding, walking my dog and eating out whether that’s new or old places.

I have worked with Darren and Angela previously and I really enjoyed working with them both. I have a lot of respect for them both so I decided to join them to help with the growth of Focus, which gave me the challenge I was looking for.

I have worked in all industry sectors such as; manufacturer, distribution and MSP. I love our team because we are all great people and we are all extremely well looked after by Darren.

My work nickname is Flange however, at home it is Gupt! I love a good giggle and everything makes  me laugh and smile!

Prior to joining Focus I gained experience working in hospitality and provided customer services for reowned companies such as Iceland. My experience and knowledge in both the sales ledger and purchase ledger positions me well to contribute significantly to the team. My expertise in these areas will be a valuable asset.

In my spare time, I am deeply engaged in renovating my house, a project that I tackle with enthusiasm and dedication. Additionally, I attend night school twice a week, working towards my accountancy qualification, which reflects my commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

My career pursuit at Focus was driven by the desire to find a role that combines finance and sales while offering opportunities for learning and growth. I believe that Focus provides the perfect environment for me to expand my skills and contribute meaningfully.Before joining Focus, I worked as a Finance Assistant for a construction company, where I handled purchase ledger invoices and assisted with month-end processes like Fixed Assets, Prepayments, Accruals, and statement reconciliations. Prior to that, I served as an Admin Assistant for a bin servicing and hygiene company, processing orders and invoicing sales orders.

What I enjoy most about working at Focus is learning about a new industry. This experience is both challenging and rewarding, allowing me to broaden my knowledge and apply my skills in new contexts.

I chose to embark on my career journey with Focus because Darren recognized my immense passion for marketing and digital design. The reason I chose this workplace is that I already had a relationship with the Manager and Owner. While I had worked in IT roles before, I spent 10 years doing night shifts at an MSP company.

I’m known for my persistence and understanding, always holding onto issues until they are resolved, and I excel at speaking non-technical terms to help users.

What I love most about my job is the amazing people I work with an the lovely clients we support. Interestingly, my initial career interest was to become an accountant, but I ended up n office admin due to a mix-up during my NVQ interview.

With years of experience in sales within the MSP and broader IT/telecoms industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success. My background in this dynamic field has equipped me with valuable insights and skills.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me playing squash or embodying the role of the ‘old man in the corner of the pub with a dog’. These activities reflect my love for relaxation, sports, and simple joys.

My decision to join this team was heavily influenced by my prior experience working alongside Darren and Mandy. My deep respect for their professionalism and leadership was a major draw. Before joining this team, I spent 13 years with a larger MSP. This extensive experience has given me a broad perspective on the industry and helped hone my skills in various aspects of IT and telecommunications.

Known for my adventurous taste in bright shirts, I like to bring a bit of colour and fun to the workplace. It’s my way of expressing my personality and adding a splash of vibrancy to our professional environment.

What I enjoy most about working here is being part of a professional yet friendly team. The balance of expertise and camaraderie makes our workplace both stimulating and enjoyable.

Working outside of dancing and teaching provides a healthy balance, preventing burnout and allowing me to continue pursuing my passion for dance alongside my professional career. In my free time, I’m often engaged in tech-related projects, reflecting my passion for the field. Additionally, I’ve recently taken up going to the gym and enjoying long walks, which helps me stay balanced and energised.

Having worked with several of our staff members before, I felt a strong connection to this team. Joining felt like destiny, and the experience has surpassed my expectations, making it an incredible journey.

Before joining this team, I spent four years at Concise Technologies, gaining substantial experience in the tech industry. Before that, I worked on the Cheese and Deli counters at Booths supermarket, where I developed valuable customer service skills.

My career in IT was a natural choice, given my long-standing passion for the field. When the opportunity to join this team arose, it was an easy decision. I’m excited to pursue my dream in an environment that fuels my enthusiasm.

Before joining Focus, my experience in IT was primarily academic, having studied it for three years in college. I also have four years of retail experience at HomeBargains, where I developed valuable customer service and teamwork skills. My eagerness to embrace new challenges and learn new things is what I consider my best quality. This openness to new experiences helps me grow both personally and professionally.

The thing I enjoy most about working at Focus is the incredible team. From day one, I was made to feel incredibly welcome, and the sense of camaraderie here is second to none.

In the dynamic team of FocusTechs, our youngest and most energetic member is Archie, our beloved Chief Smile Officer. Unlike the rest of us, he operates on a unique schedule. Sleep and meals are not his top priorities; instead, he’s wholly dedicated to his role of bringing joy and laughter to the team.

Archie is an expert in non-verbal communication, captivating us with his infectious giggles and heart warming smiles. His skills in brightening up the room are unmatched, and his ability to remind us of the simple joys in life is priceless.

His contributions to our team’s morale are immeasurable. In his leisure time, which is pretty much all the time, Archie enjoys a good nap, playful work time, and the occasional culinary adventure with baby-friendly treats. While he may not contribute to the spreadsheets and emails, his presence is a daily reminder of the importance of balance, joy, and the purity of a child’s laughter in our lives.

As the beloved mental health dog of our team, Tinkerbell plays a crucial role in boosting morale and providing emotional support. Her presence brings a sense of calm and comfort, making our workplace a more relaxing and enjoyable space.

Tinkerbell is known for her gentle demeanour and friendly disposition. She has a way of sensing when someone needs a little extra support and is always ready to offer a comforting nuzzle or a friendly wag of her tail.

When she’s not busy brightening up our day, Tinkerbell loves going for walks, playing fetch, and, of course, enjoying a good belly rub. She’s also a big fan of treats and has a charming way of winning over even the most reserved visitors.
