Focus Technology Solutions is an award winning, IT Managed Service partner based in Wigan, Lancashire supporting over 1,500 people within our client businesses. Our founder Darren Strong has over 20+ years experience in providing IT and Telecoms services as an outsourced partner to over 150 SME clients within the UK.

Darren pushes the whole FTS team daily to make the complex and wide-ranged IT industry available, tailored and above all in a human language for our clients.

Darren worked his way up being a desktop engineer, supporting North West schools and colleges to then move through corporate ranks and onto being part of a small (but exciting) IT Managed Service Provider based in Chester. Here (as the business grew to 5m turnover) he grew through the ranks and gained experiences around leading people, business and financial structures. But we really started to accelerate when we became a part of a peer group called Evolve, where Darren is now a facilitator and leads four groups through quarterly meetings and goals. Due to this learning path, Darren felt he had to create and lead a team to change the way IT Support was delivered to the business industry and so FTS was born.

Darren believes a lot of his core values, structure and dedication comes from years of martial arts foundational work which occurred for over 20 years. During this time he gained a 4th Dan Blackbelt in Shutoki Karate and a 1st Dan Black Belt in Jiu-jitsu. This strong structure, dedication and leadership skills are seen throughout the business and this empowers the team to be aligned.
